How much do you charge for estimates?

$25.00 for speakers
$50.00 for car audio electronics, home audio electronics and televisions
$60.00 for cameras

A non-refundable diagnostic/estimate fee is required on all non-warranty repairs. This fee is applied to any repairs made on your equipment.

Why don't you offer free estimates?
One word, gimmick. Do you really think that repair shops that offer free estimates are going to spend one minute on your equipment trying to figure out it's real problem? No! They simply 'shoot' you a price, and hope the price they quote you will cover the cost of parts while leaving room for plenty of profit. This works for them if it's an easy repair, but bad for you if your unit was one of the 'easy' ones, and you were charged too much money for the repair.

How long will it take for you to give me an estimate on a repair?
Your equipment will be diagnosed within 7-14 business days and sometimes sooner than that. A customer care representative will contact you with an estimate. You will be the given the repair information; the problem found, labor time and cost, part cost and any sales tax and shipping amount minus your estimate fee. You may at that time either approve the estimate for repair or decline the estimate for repair. Once you approve the repair estimate, we will order the parts. In most cases, we have the parts in stock and it's only a matter of days for the repair. If parts need to be ordered and depending on the availability of the parts, it may take 3-4 days for us to receive and process the incoming parts needed.
The level of repair and the availability of parts determine completion time.
If you decline the estimate, we can dispose of your equipment at no extra charge.

How do I know if my equipment is worth fixing?
Depending on how much you paid for it originally, how much you love it and that you know how to operate it and depending on how much the same model would be now, are all things you should consider. Our technicians will evaluate your equipment and are trained to make these diagnoses if the cost would exceed value.

What if I need my equipment back sooner than 7-14 days?
If your repair is a time sensitive repair, we offer an upfront repair. For a small fee of $20.00 in addition to the estimate fee, we will rush the preparation of the estimate, ordering of parts and the repair of your unit.

Availability of parts determines completion time.

How much will it cost to repair my equipment?
Obviously that depends a lot on what kind of problem you are experiencing, how far off the table it fell, how much slobber Johnny spilled into it, and whether the unit fell in salt water or fresh water...

The only question would be the cost of parts and technical time, which we will give you an estimate first.

Do you offer in-home warranty and non-warranty service on televisions and other components??
Yes. All manufacturers offer in-home warranty service for televisions, depending on the size of the set.

Manufacturers do not cover in-home warranty service for other components.

For non-warranties televisions and other components, we can pickup your equipment, repair it here in our service center and deliver it back to you.

What will it cost to ship my equipment to you?
Actually, the average cost of shipping equipment to us is $6.00-$10.00. Remember, UPS is by far more cost effective than the Postal Service, once you get past three pounds. Just to be on the safe side, check the rates of all the major carriers by visiting iShip.com.

For non-warranty repairs, please be sure to include the estimate fee, your name, address and contact phone number and the problem you are having. For warranty repairs, please be sure to include your name, address, contact phone number, the problem you are having and a copy of your purchase receipt.

Do I have to pay for return shipping too?
Yes. Once your unit has been repaired we will ground ship through UPS. For some warranty repairs, the manufacturer will pay for shipping, please check your warranty information or contact the manufacturer.

Are you an Authorized Factory Service center?
Yes. Please see the Service department page for a list of manufacturers we are authorized for.

My equipment got wet, can you fix it?
If your unit did get wet, it's wise to remove any batteries and avoid powering the unit on.

With water damage (or any liquid), one has to act fast, as the corrosion begins to eat away at the components inside the unit. This continues for weeks, until the damage is so bad, that the unit is un-repairable. Different liquids eat faster, and cause more damage. Salt water and soda are at the top of the list.

There are times when cleaning the corrosion solves the problem. Other times, the corrosion has eaten away at the circuit boards, and components, destroying them, and rendering the unit either unrepairable, or uneconomical to repair.

If we are going to be able to help you, we'll need to have the equipment sent to us as quickly as possible. The sooner we get the unit, the sooner we can clean up the spill, stop the corrosion, and repair any damage. If you wait too long, it will be too late for us to help you.

How much will it cost to repair water damage?
Understand that we may, or may not be able to help you, depending upon, among other things, how much corrosion has taken place, and how fast you got the unit to us. Typically, repairs of this type incur intermediate to major labor time.

Do you supply loaner equipment while mine is being repaired?
Yes, if you purchased your equipment from us. If available, you may rent equipment from us while yours is being repaired.

What kind of warranty do I get for my repairs?
All equipment repaired by us comes with a 90-day warranty on parts installed and labor.

What do I need to do if I decide to have my equipment repaired?
If your equipment is under manufacturer's warranty, you will need to supply us with a copy of the original purchase receipt then just bring it in or ship it to us.

If your equipment is not under warranty, you may ship it in to us or come by our service center.

I think my home electronics were hit by lightning, can you help me?
Yes. You can either bring your equipment to our service center or you can schedule a time for us to pick-up your equipment.

I have homeowners/renters insurance which will cover my damaged equipment, can you help me with a lighting affidavit and do I have to pay for it?
Yes. After our technician diagnosis the equipment problem and if it was related to a power surge/lighting strike, we will supply your insurance company with all appropriate affidavits. Unfortunately, all fees are due upfront. We will submit the bill for you to your insurance company and they will then reimburse you for any repairs and services rendered.

I am looking at purchasing new equipment but don't know what to do with my old equipment, am I stuck with it?
In some cases yes but maybe not this time. If you purchase your new equipment from us, we may be able to help you sell your old equipment, but unfortunately we will not buy it from you.

I have some CD's that skip and that are scratched, can you fix them?
Yes. CD's are $6.00 each with a minimum of five. CD ROMs, Game CDs & Single Sided DVD's are $12.00 each with a minimum of five. Please allow at least 1 business day for repair.

I just need to order parts, can I order them from you?
Yes. Just call our service center and provide the Manufacturer and part number and we will do the rest. A parts deposit will be required.

I have a CD/DVD stuck in my car stereo or other component, can you remove it?
Yes. But realize there is a reason why your CD or DVD got stuck. We can just remove the disc for $25.00 or you can pay the estimate fee and have your disc removed and have the equipment checked out at the same time.

I just bought a used/new vehicle and there's an error message coming up on the radio display, what is that?
Your radio needs to be reset and must be done at a service center. In most cases, this can be reset without having to remove the car stereo but it will not operate until you have this done.
